I finished Darebee’s Cardio Trim program today. Yay! This is a 30 day fitness program that has a little bit of everything–strength, cardio, some hiit, and ab work. A well rounded program.
I must say though, that I haven’t been so glad that something is over in quite a long time. As well rounded as this program is, I got tired of it fairly early on. There are almost always 2 phases to each workout, a cardio phase and then something else, usually a strength or ab routine. The 2 phase approach is nice because not only is it an excellent warmup, but it also introduces variety in the work out. However, the first phase was very monotonous, sometimes requiring 15 rounds of let’s say, jumping jacks or high knees. Oi. 15 rounds of anything can be a bore to keep track of, nevermind exhausting. And then after that, it was at least 3-5 more rounds of something else before completion. One day it took me nearly 50 minutes to get done, not very practical for a mother of 3 kids under the age of 3.
It definitely hit everything though every single day, so if you’re wanting a full body experience in every workout, this program is excellent. I also experienced some weight loss with this one. I was 143lbs when I began and I weighed in yesterday at 136. 7 lbs lost! Of course, I’ve also made some changes to my diet which I’m sure also contributed to this loss, but overall this is a solid program.
This is a great workout program if you’re looking to lose weight and workout your entire body every day. But the monotony of some of the rounds and phases may have you wishing it was over long before 30 days is up.
