7 Weeks Postpartum and Stretch Marks

7 weeks pp today and I weighed in at 148 this morning despite battling with my sugar cravings daily. I have also not played ring fit adventure at all this week, however I have kept up with the ab workout, my darebee challenges and yoga, and even did 4 daily workouts they had posted.

I feel like I got a far better workout from doing the daily darebee workouts than ring fit honestly, even though the time spent doing them was comparable. My muscles were actually upset after the darebee workouts, and my butt is definitely perkier since doing the glute challenge.

My previous recovery after having my son was almost exclusively darebee workouts/programs and a lot of walking in the first 12 weeks also, which I haven’t been doing much of. And I got amazing results last time from doing that.

Sugar cravings are just inSANE everyday, I’m genuinely shocked at my weight loss. Maybe it’s hormones, I’m not sure, but it’s a struggle not to consume all the ice cream, all the pies, the whole cake – get dessert on top of my generous meal eating out….yea. I know I’ve got diabetes in my future if I can’t get a handle on this.

I wanted to take a moment to address stretch marks, and more specifically stretch mark care. Everything I’ve read suggests that moisturizing is key to stretch mark recovery, but the most important thing I have learned from two pregnancies is this: regardless of whether or not you use table top coconut oil or a dermatologist prescribed cream, the most important thing you can do for your stretch marks is to massage along the stretch line, and do not pull it apart. Stretch mark skin is super fragile and even a gentle massage in the wrong way can deepen the mark if you’re not careful.

That’s all for this week! My goal is to continue with the yoga, glute and dead hang darebee challenges, the ab workouts, and also do daily workouts from darebee when I can. We’ll see how it goes!
